Yes, mov files are supported by youtube.
However, I have a Zoom Q 3 (Not the HD version, but I checked the technical details of the HD version and it's exactly the same!) and I used it sometimes, but I must say that I am in no way satisfied with it because it leaves you only three options to adjust the input level: High, Low or Auto. And while the microphones for sure are quite okay, this restriction is just ridiculous and makes this device basically worthless for any serious use in classical music recording. The "low" setting makes the whole recording way too soft, the "high" setting causes permanent hiss in the forte passages, and the "Auto" setting steamrollers systematically all dynamic nuances.
So I'd strongly advise against purchasing such a device.
