Leyetchkiss-Stravinsky Transcriptions
on: September 19, 2004, 05:54:28 PM
I know he transcribed the Rite of Spring. But didn't he also transcribe Petruchka? I'm not sure. Well, I'm planning to do a VERY literal transcription of Petrushka (maybe for two pianos, it's very complex, yes I know stravinsky made a transcription for two pianos but that;s not literal to say the least and kinda dull). If Leyetchkiss did write a transcription I will move on to another piece (I'mm sure Leyetchkiss could do a better job that me) I was thinking maybe Fireworks Op. 4 by stravinsky. Very short and one of my favorite pieces.
