Whilst realising how difficult it is for pianists to obtain funding, I am personally always a little uncomfortable with these kinds of threads, especially as this is supposed to be a discussion forum.

If this request was made by a longer standing member, I would be less uncomfortable. Saying that, judging by this chaps website, he appears to be the real deal and if there was any chance of me attending, I probably would chuck in a few dollars.

but when I began thinking about who to share this project with, I immediately thought of Pianostreet.

You are doing a little bit more than sharing a project. Effectively, you are simply asking for money.
