I feel exactly the same way. My Schimmel is a wonderful instrument. Some complain that the upper register is too bright. I feel this is over-played. Yes, the treble sings, but that's usually a good thing. The piano is very even up and down the register, and works well for a broad variety of repertoire.
Johann Bach, on playing Crisotfori's original invention, complained that the treble was weak. Well, he wouldn't say that about the Schimmel.
