Chopin - Polonaise-fantasy

Recorded this after a long practicing day, this is only work in progress and I only picked up this newly learned piece two days prior to recording it as I prepared it for a masterclass. In any case, constructive criticism is most welcome at this stage. Strange piece...

OK. You play this very good.
Very Chopinesque, very expressively. Very good tone, sound etc...
Almost like a recording from the Golden Age of pianism.
I very much enjoyed listening to it.

UNTIL,

the forte assai section, where the theme is accompanied by octaves at  the left hand.
From there on we have a brutal tone, the beautiful harmonies and inner voices are lost etc.etc.

IMO, you are doing really very good things with this piece.
Just begin the piece in more calm and relaxed manner and again think of the final section in a broader way.

Anyway, as I said, I very much liked your playing, thanks for sharing.

I don't know who the masterclass is with, but I'm sure he will have lots to say and it will be beneficial for you.
I consider this polonaise Chopin's masterpiece.  It's always been my dream to play it, but I fear it's too late for me!  It's good you've learnt it while you're young - I'm assuming you're young, right?- it has lots of time to mature, but you've mastered most of the technical difficulties.
I really have nothing to say - and, yet, there's lots to say, if you know what I mean.  There's so much in this music, and so far, you've only grasped the tip of the iceberg.  That's why I'm sure this masterclass will be good experience.

I´m 25, whether that makes me young or not I leave for you to decide. And yes hakki, the ending is the most difficult to me balancewise, and the chordplaying towards the end isn´t easy either. I´m working on it for sure. The Golden Age pianism was very nice to hear, historical recordings is a much loved thing for me.
