How to make a list of achievements?
on: April 29, 2012, 01:52:11 PM
So I applied for this chamber music project and they're asking for a list of achievements I've made on the piano. And... I don't know what to say. What are they looking for? Like... competitions I've won? I haven't really participated in any competitions. Do I mention any auditions I've made? And how do I phrase it?!

i would just create essentially a piano/music resume/cv.  list any festivals you were accepted to or particpated in, masterclasses you were a featured performer, music school or concservatory you graduated from or recieved any awards, competitions, i would even list paid engagements, i.e. weddings and works performed inn ensemble or as solo, cruise ship piano appointment, etc. pretty much anything that highlights anything of merit you have accomplished musically, heck even if you're in academics if you contributed to any papers for a music peer reviewed journal that was published, etc.

as far as format i'd look at some online 'artistic' resume examples, there's bound to be bunches out there.

good luck!
