Ah, a young man playing an old man's piece written by a young man. There's something refreshing about that. I am no expert on these matters, but I think the close miking hurts how this piece comes off. If I were to choose a seat in a concert I would choose a spot out in the hall which allows the sound to resonate and blossom. Everything I hear from this vantage point is ATTACK, and no FINISH. That is not your playing, it is the unfortunate miking. As this sonata is balancing breathless whisper with power, this is becomes more crucial to give the sound an opportunity to ring in the hall. I thought you did well in your performance though, and there were some especially nice contrasts in the development. I hope to hear you play it again soon!
