Hey all,
For my Grade 12 music exam, I need to have 20 minutes of music for my final exam.
My three pieces for my grade 11 exam (only 10 minutes) were Ravel's Oiseaux Tristes, Chopin's Prelude in Em, and Debussy's Page D'Album.

For next year, I was thinking of trying Grieg's Wedding Day in Troldhaugen and Alkan's Op. 35 No. 5 Allegro Barbaro. That adds up to around 10 minutes, so does anyone have suggestions for the rest of the 10 minutes?

For reference, the hardest pieces that I've done are the Ravel and Rach's Prelude in C#m.

Thanks,
Alex

hmm are you looking for a single longer/extended work or several shorter? for an exam there is a 'missing' classical and 'baroque' element to the program. especially with two already simialr 20th cent/modern impressionistic style works, it looks unblanced.

look for some early beethoven, hummel, or mozart and haydn. and round out w some bach.
