Alexandre Desplat - Piano music from "My week with Marilyn"
on: June 11, 2012, 10:43:53 AM
his movie output is sizeable and hal leonard publishes a good number of his stuff and it is readily available , i.e easy, to purchase
however i find it odd that a film that had such high 'criticial' acclaim has not had a piano score put out ? if anyone knows if this was published or is planned for a later release (so i can tag it as a wish list item) that woudl be super great.
i have only found a 'fan' transcription of one of the themes but the film itself has many lovely musical moments that are either in piano form already or would lend themselves nicely to a solo transcription.
here lang lang does one of them

you'll have to click 'continue to deadline' on the add page. i couldn't find this on youtube.
here's the fan version
thanks for any info, not a 'need to have' but would be a cool 'nice to have'

I second your request. Just watched the movie myself.
