I believe Glenn Gould enjoyed some success with them.

I have played them with much enjoyment, but without the public acclaim.

I'm ever patiently waiting channel 9 to announce "The Piano" - once they do you'll be set, assuming you have industry contacts and a pretty face.

I do, but in these straightened times they sadly cannot afford my, admitedly exhorbitant, appearance fee.

Same goes for myself. Very unfortunate for the general populous, but what can you do...

what i meant was if anybody from this forum, who aren't professional recording artists or concert pianists, have attempted them, to any degree of success. but i am surprised to read that glenn's recordings are not as famous as they seem to me.

As I said, I have played them. What do you mean by success? That I have managed to do so, or that I've won something with them?

i must have missed out reading that part then. in the sense of being able to play part or the whole of it coherently, which is what i'm trying to accomplish preferably in under 3 months. i don't think it is too unrealistic since i've only practiced one of the variations under 30 times in a week or two and i think i am getting close to correcting all the mistakes.
