Yes! - 5ths and octaves are the problems, assuming you're talking about writing in 4 part harmony... and this doesnt apply just to the cadences, but I assume you're not writing harmonies for whole melodies in that style yet..

EDIT: remember, that's just that "style" of writing. Its not a global rule.

You need to clarify your question.  "Consecutive 4ths" can be ambiguous.  Do you mean PARALLEL 4ths, or do you mean Sequential 4ths (circle of 5ths)?

As ajspiano already stated:  yes parallel 4ths are fine. I don't see how this relates to cadences in particular, but I'm assuming this is just a general 4 part harmony voice leading question in which case the answer still remains the same. Continue avoiding parallel 8ths, 5ths as well as hidden 5ths and 8ths (they take a CHUNK out on exams if you commit these, it's so annoying).
