My recordings... :)
on: October 04, 2004, 12:03:10 PM
Hello , I have recently bought a high-quality sound card that lets me record from my digital piano directly on my computer.... since I know nothing about computers... and since my recordings are really space-consuming...
I'd like to know the best way to make all the forum hear them???

Would anyone care to help me make a website where I could post all I play... ?? Or is there a better way?? thx for your input... I'd love for all to hear me and tell me what they think or what they think I can do better :P
My favorite composers are chopin and liszt , but I love each composer for their individuality and uniqueness...I also have a few compositions and improvisations I'd like to submit to your attention :)

Did your soundcard come with any software? You need to record them as WAV files, and then use software to convert them to MP3, which you then upload to a web server, and then you give links out.

You can probably get away with using Windows Sound Recorder to record the WAV files. You'll need something like Music Match Jukebox, or Sound Forge (do a google search on WAV to MP3 conversion) to make an MP3 file. If you don't have any webserver space available, I believe there are many free sites that will put banner ads up and such, but they are available.

Use www.purevolume.com .   If you don't want to pay the extra money, you can still upload up to 3 songs.

mp3.com or any major free service like Yahoo! Geocities, Lycos or Tripod would be good choices.
