What are the best Yamaha digital pianos available at around 1000$?

My conundrum about $1000 Yamaha digital pianos or stage pianos if you will, is none sound better ( and actually not as good) than the $1500 Kawai MP 6. If there is one at $1000 or less that sounds better than the Kawai MP 6 I too would like hear it or at least hear about it and I could do my own search.

I posted a link to the Kawai MP 6 in another thread on a similar subject but if you need a few links I'd be glad to repost some. I've listened to probably 25 different digital pianos and none are as convincing, both in terms of grand piano sound and organ sound, not to mention mixed strings. Even my wife says if you are going to get one of these, get the Kawai ! Sometimes you just have to spend that little bit more.

Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.
