Advice required on beginners learning
on: July 12, 2012, 04:57:34 PM
Hello all,

Im a complete new starter to piano and am really enjoying it so far.  I have been simply picking up bits and pieces so far from things like youtube etc but really want to invest in a course or maybe a book with a DVD.  I was wondering if anyone could recommend a book/dvd combo or even online course that is widely respected but for complete beginners as well.  Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks,
Simon.

If you want to start out with a book, this is pretty nice, but I wouldn't follow it blindly, just see what works for you.

For effective practicing habits: this is a good explanation.

And get a teacher. No book, CD or online course in the world can replace a good teacher.
