Major critical advice needed on terrible playing!
on: July 16, 2012, 09:32:28 PM
Ok, so heres the deal, I had to play this for my grade 7
VkD-A&index=3&feature=plcp

Now this is a very bad video of my playing, my hands were very tired when recording,
but apart from notation mistakes theres other issues.

Im asking for some hell of critical advice, I am very ashamed to even say this is me playing..
but I want to work on technique and how I can avoid such terrible playing in fast pieces of music.
Other things im sure you will pick up on, even advice for music I should learn to build me up to pieces in the style Mozart has written this.

Grateful for help!!

As a relatively new learner, you absolutely need to memorize the piece.  This is critical.  It will allow you to focus on technique alone, instead of playing AND reading (using the score for memory prompts.)

There was a time I could play this whole piece from memory, but thats going back to November last year! 0,0

I know the exam is done now, im waiting for results, but no matter what the result, I want this piece fixed :)

EDIT ~~ Just played it from memory, much slower than usual, thinking it would make a big difference to do this for more pieces,

Please keep up the advice :)
