I need help finding information on my Piano
on: July 29, 2012, 11:45:04 PM
Hello, i have just signed up to the website in search of information.
I have a Adams piano, it is an upright. i have found some initials and dates inside of it. the oldest one i found was 11/13/18. i haven't been able to really find any information on it. the serial number on the inside of it is 8862. the plate on the inside says Adams Piano Pillsburg. any information on it would be helpful, thank you

First off, allow me to welcome you to Pianostreet -- lot of good things here, and it's fun.

Second, though... I don't find anything on the 'net about an Adams Piano Company.  Usually something shows up, but not this time -- which leads me suspect that it may be a rather obscure local (Pittsburgh, PA, USA?) piano...

thank you, it could very well be Pittsburg(h), i only thought it could be Pillsburg because of the fancy lettering it is written in & there was no "H" at the end. i want to take a picture of it and post it here maybe that might help, but im not sure how to post pics or vids. see i live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, my father is a painter and he found it in an apartment when the tenants moved out, there are 3 names and dates, the oldest one is the `18 one...

It could also be "Pillsbury". Agree that it sounds like a dealer rather than a manufacturer.
