Jon,
I know that competition was a few months ago, but I was wondering if you could give me a link to it?  I've heard of Bob Jones University and if I could get any information about their music department etc. I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks! :)

If BJU thinks it's going anything for the community, all I hear is "we're trying desperately to rid ourselves of our separtist background."  Possibly the most worthless quasi-educational institution (it's not an accredited university) in the world.

I know someone who is in the music program there.  From what I can tell, the music program sounds good.  It sounds as though the teachers are have high standards for the students (I mean, they seem to be demanding.)  But I don't know, firsthand.  I know that there is a code of conduct (not a bad thing) and a dress code (now this can be questionable, but different people have different opinions)

neither a code of conduct or a dress code are bad in themselves....but i think you might hold a different view if you knew wat those codes entailed....talk to someone who goes there as any second hand information i could give you would probably sound like a gross exaggeration...
