Mozart Quotes
on: August 16, 2012, 03:33:30 AM
Hi everyone!
I am trying to remember a quote I heard someone tell me once about Mozart. Apparently in his sonatas and concertos he said something about "The first movement is for the person I dedicated it to, the third is for the audience, and the second is only for me" (something roughly like that-I might be waaaaay off). Does this ring any bells for anyone? I think maybe he wrote it in one of his letters or something. If you know the real quote (or if it even is real), could you please share? I am hoping to mention it in a talk.
Thank you!
