The guy who said Chopin not that great....WOW.
Maybe this isn't you're aim (or even a problem you have), but if you're ever going to be any good in your own right you're going to have to pull Chopin down off that pedestal you've built for him and start believing that you are capable of producing world class music.. not that's better than Chopin, but definitely that is as good as Chopin - even if you don't ever actually make it that far.
Have respect for them, but excessive worship is not good for you.
I'm not sure what your position is so I'm not sure how easily you'd be able to have a concert, but it's something to keep in mind.
Perhaps, though I'm far more dedicated to teaching than to my own personal performing.
I probably could put on successful concerts if I choose the right locations and put in some SERIOUS work preparing and maintaining a program to a high standard. I just do not put in the amount of hours that a concert pianist needs to.
Regional touring would probably work here in Australia since those places aren't going to get well known overseas pianists visiting. I do have a friend that has taken that route and gets to work with local orchestras for concertos and such, - is pretty cool, but at the same time she has a bit of an "oh my god this is so much work

" kind of attitude to major performance projects.
Trying to just launch into performing solo recitals in decent venues in a bigger city strikes me as a great way to burn money - long road.
