GREAT NEWS !

I would like to update readers on this request for help. I am very grateful that over 330 people had read my first message asking for help ... and even though the help cameth from elsewhere, you may like to know that a complete and exciting solution was found. There was no information online - or through word-of-mouth enquiries - about anyone ever recording
"Apres L'Ondee" (After the Rain) by
Maurice Pesse. I can now report that there is one !! Concert Pianist, composer and teacher
Terry Allbright very kindly recorded this piece for us - and I understand it may be available through iTunes.
Enquiries or comments to john@jm1.co please. Neither I nor the man (I will call him Mr Mason, not his real name) has any financial interest in the recording. I have recently had a brief meeting with Mr Mason who had asked me (a complete stranger to him) - well over a year ago - to help with his quest. He is delighted to have his own copy of the new recording and has asked me to thank everyone who helped to make it happen. I understand that the BBC Music / Recording Department had also been unable to trace a recording. During a Cruise holiday my 'new friend' Mr Mason had reached an informal agreement with the Resident Pianist on board the liner but nothing happened there either! Every opening seemed to lead to a dead-end. Incidentally I have now learned from Mr Mason that his late father, as well as being an accomplished pianist, had been a member of a Southampton Male Voice Choir and also a Church Choir in the Freemantle area of the city.
