Any Pianists who are also Whovians??
on: September 02, 2012, 02:01:28 PM
Just wondering if anyone else out there is Doctor Who fan? I have only watched the series since the 2005 series aired. That's my limit to my knowledge.

I have been watching it since 1970. Definately prefer the old re-incarnations.

:) I have tried watching the first ever episode but couldn't get into it at the time. But I'm sure I'll get round to it again at some stage.

Favourite doctor(s)? Companions? Writers? etc.

Have you been able to see the new series yet?

When I started watching it was John Pertwee. My favourite has to be Tom Baker though. Met him once in Marks & Spencers in Maidstone.

Cannot get on with the modern versions.

Definitely not a sci-fi fan, I'm afraid to say.

None of those programmes have ever done a thing for me, I have to admit, although they might perhaps have lent new focus on old British police boxes in their early days.

I am reminded instead of someone who was a fellow student of mine at Royal College of Music, London years ago and who seemed to take a quite different view - at least until he clarified that he had great faith in the medical brilliance of his Chinese General Practitioner, a Doctor Hu...

I'll get me coat...

And best your passport, too, after that one.

I'll take a chance on it, thanks; it was actually true, after all...
