What site has the most complete classical music library?
on: September 08, 2012, 05:36:23 AM
I would like to listen to music by different composers performed by different pianists. Youtube is not very complete... And spotify is not available in my country (philippines).
Where do you guys get your music? Can I get an app for this on ipad? I like a very
complete
library, not just a collection of famous pieces you hear everywhere like the moonlight sonata, Liebestraum, clair de lune, chopin's nocturne 9/2, beethoven's symphony 5 etc etc....

Anything I can't find on Youtube, I go to iTunes for. Actually I end up going to iTunes most of the time anyway. As for sites that have music besides youtube... Can't help you there.

Have you tried university libraries in your city? I've done a lot of listening at university libraries, and have discovered many unknown gems that way.
Check out the Naxos Music Library.

Subscribe to Rhapsody (

); they have a fantastic library, and for a small fee, you can listen to as much as you want.

I want to say Naxos. But I only had access to Naxos because my school subscribed to them....so I don't know if it is free or not
