so yeah life decided to give Izumi Tateno a  big bag full of strong, bitter, lemonds. His playing before acute brain injury was so incredibly sensitive, and yet it seems as if afterwards without the use of his right had, his ability to weave colors and lines improved, despite the use of only the left hand.

super inspiring story.

bonus
wow
what an incredible musicia he was and became/is despite his set back! His interpretations of Finish composers' Okar Merikanto's piano works remain my favorites.

fyi he recently premiered a new concerto for the left hand a few weeks ago. next performance is scheduled for 10/18/12.
