Fantasy on Meyerbeer's Robert le Diable
on: October 13, 2012, 12:33:00 PM
My composition, somewhat inspired by Liszt's epic paraphrase.

Comments welcome.

Hi ronde,

Your paraphrase is absolutely outstanding!  You've been able to take your very extensive experience with a broad range of operatic transcriptions for piano that you've performed in the past, and to capture that sound here in your marvelous score and rendition.  Very stylish indeed!  And a wonderful recorded sound too.  I can't say enough about this.  Superb!

Thanks, David. I had a lot of fun recording this, probably because it's easier to play your own personally-written and tailored types of technical difficulties than someone else's!
