Fernau & Reisinger piano
on: November 04, 2012, 07:13:02 PM
Hello,

I have bought a few months ago a piano from one Austrian. The brand of piano is Fernau & Reisinger, but I do not know if it is manufacturer or only seller. Now I want to find out where is it piano from, the vintage and how it looked like, when it was new..some parts are missing, originally was brown and someone it repainted black. Can anyone please help me to support these informations? I attach some pictures. Yours sincerely, Slavomír Stieranka, Slovakia.

They mostly repair/restore and sell old pianos. The shop, the adress of which is even stated under the brand, is pretty much accurate. It says Mariahilferstraße 35, but the actual shop is now at Königsklostergasse 7 I believe, which is very close to mariahilferstraße 35. With the rest I can't help you but you could email the seller itself, maybe they know something.
Here's their website: https://www.klavierhaus.info/index.php/kontakt

Good luck

Nobody has replied me from the official mail presented on their website...please help me how to find out informations about that piano from other sources. I do not know how to continue. Maybe go directly to Wien and ask them. There is not any other way to get informations from somebody, who will be helpful? Yours sincerely, Slavo.

Hello everyone,

nobody has still replied me from reisinger house on my piano, but maybe I am on a good way. I found some mysterious circle label on piano and I do not know what it means. The sign of brand or something else maybe...Can anybody seen something like this, please? I attach photo. And also serial number maybe for some information.

Thank you for reply. Best regards, Slavomir Stieranka, Slovakia.
