I can't agree with this take. I get becoming tired of pieces you hear often but they're still good piece in some kind of essence IMO. Of course, if something is good or not is entirely subjective, I'll give you that.
I suppose that's sort of true. Merry go round of life, for example, was amazing when I first heard it.

This is the most pointless thread...

Just because you don't like a piece doesn't mean you should go making other people feel bad for liking them!

(Obviously this is what the OP was asking so it's fine in this context I guess, but the tone of some of these posts is just so hostile)

I mean you can express your opinion but some people express it as if it's objective fact and it just isn't. I can't say that Einaudi is bad, I just don't like it!

100% of Schumann is worthless drivel, but some seem to like it.

Except for his Carnavale, Op 9. That is a beautiful collection of pieces that culminate in a wonderful final ending.

Für Elise.

I am not saying it sucks, but I will say that I personally can not stand it.   I think this stems from the fact that it was the first "real" classical piece I learned as a kid.   My father, who listened to nothing but country western pre 1960's, wanted me to play it over and over and over.   The reason for this I believe, was not that he took great joy in this piece,  but it was solid evidence that his hard earned money (and it really was hard earned) was paying off.   In short order, his investment in my lessons had me playing "high brow" music, and by gosh he was going to listen to it whether or not he liked it or not.    On the flip side, I could never say no, because my parents had modest means and did everything they could to buy me a piano and give me lessons.   I wanted it, they thought it would be good for me, and they made it happen.

So, Fur Elise, over and over and over.   I will still play it once in a while to remind myself of playing it for my Dad, but yeah I can't say I love this piece at all.

many people: "I like the moonlight sonata because it's relaxing and repetitive. repetition makes music good. [[[[[ALSO i am only aware of the first movement of it]]]]]"

If you enjoy music because it's repetitive, go listen to pop music.

Except for his Carnavale, Op 9. That is a beautiful collection of pieces that culminate in a wonderful final ending.
What about the Op. 12 Fantasiestucke? That one's just the less extreme characteristics of Schumann and Chopin on steroids. My absolute favorite Schumann piece

i think this thread is really stupid. Schumann is one of the most emotional composer and could not be judged.
I can't control Music, but Music controls me
