Best Virtual Sound For Digital Pianos?

I have been using this, and recommend it:

Have you heard anything that rivals this sound?

Gallaxy Vintage D is very nice as well, click on the link and under Audio Demos, in particular listen to the Satie  demo.   https://www.bestservice.de/detail1.asp/best_service/galaxy_vintage_d/en

And it's less costly, however I have not found an outlet in the US as of yet..
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.

Hi bornfield, I really enjoyed your improvisation. And, I'm a fellow user of pianoteq. It's awesome, I heartily agree. Are you using the D4 there? It's pretty amazing. I agree with my (somewhat harsh) board mates that it isn't still quite as good as an acoustic piano. But if you're an amateur and just want beautiful piano sound even if its not quite as realistic, it really fits the bill. You should pop on into the improvisations room...you would be welcome there.

*edit* I've found that actually feeding midi into pianoteq to be a bit laggy. Even with ASIO. What I do is just record directly to midi with my Roland HP-302, then export it later with pianoteq for listening or sharing. Are you able to deal with lag somehow? I never could get un-annoyed with it.

hfmadopter: The Galaxy Vintage D sounds good, but it seems like it has that "canned" sound that so many sampled pianos have. While pianoteq still has some aspects which tend to give away that is digital (such as being in perfect tune), it does seem to get rid of that "canned" sound. The preset "Out of tune" on the new Pianoteq 4 software sound amazingly like a real piano. So much so that I declared I owned a real baby grand piano when I got the software. I apologize to my fellow boardmates in the improv room who believed me  :)

It seems that all virtual pianos have some sort of canned sound to them to me ( I own a grand piano). I detected a virtual piano sound in the OP's video, not strong but there. Seems to me you can almost always tell when a virtual piano is being used. Always improving though and it cuts to the chase for recording. Some virtuals sound better than lousy acoustic recordings.
