Actually, just the 1st dance  ;D .... the 2nd to follow later.  My apologies as I again forgot to put on the videocam!!! ... so this will be all audio.  We would really appreciate any comment, observation or suggestions.  The 2 dances will form part of Enzo's up coming solo recital on December 6.   THANKS!!!

This is extraordinary music and a performance to match!  For some reason Bartok always makes me think of materials -and a human interaction with them -such as kisses in the mist -anvils in rain -swords glistening in sunshine, as soldiers prepare to do battle.  Not sure this is much help -just my subjective reaction -great performances spark the emotions and imagination -and this certainly did that -bravo -

I hope Enzo will enter the Leeds Piano Competition within the next few years -he has all the necessary talent -

i agree, this is really quite a refined redition of music that has a 'raw' quality to it. i love the music of bartok, there is an 'earthy' quality to it to me, a sort of sound that even when you get something unexpected (which happens a lot with this), it sounds so natural and right.

i have not studied these pieces yet, and if i can later (when i finish with classses for the day) i will try and listen again with a score for more specifics, but i think enzo has nothing to worry about, if anything, i think he should really let himself take risks, really feel like has the freedom to exagerate those high and low points (i.e. louder louds, softer softs, crisp accents, etc), etc to see if he discovers new places to express himself or places he is expressing himself  already where he can do it even more.

it will be a fine program, nothing to worry about on his part but again will try to look at a score later when classes allow.  thanks you for sharing such a wonderful recording.
