Medtner Sonata Reminiscenza in a minor op. 38 #1
on: October 16, 2004, 04:20:28 PM
Anybody heard this work before? It is incredible. I'd like to say it is "hauntingly beautiful" or other phrases of piano critic dialect, but it'sl just incredible. Listen to Horowitz play it. Or maybe Hamelin? I heard he recorded the complete Medtner sonatas. I've only heard Horowitz, and I highly recommend it.

It may have been Gilels and not Horowitz. My bad. Magical though yes!
