Topic: I need more of this kind of pieces, do you guys know some?  (Read 1316 times)

Hallo guys,

I dont now how to explain this exactly, but i need pieces where the melody consists of arpeggios. So the hand actually play a sequence of arpeggios but there comes also a melody out of that.

I give you two examples, because i cant describe what i mean precisely.



From 0:30-0:57






From the beginning




So, if you know more of this kind of songs, i would love if you tell me, because i am trying to learn improvisation (and later composing) in this style.

Any suggestion is most most welcome.

Here are some of the ones I can think of:

Chopin: Etude Op. 25 No. 1 "Aeolian Harp"


Chopin: Etude Op. 25 No. 11 "Winter Wind" (it isn't technically a melody but it should work)

Debussy: Jardins Sous La Pluie from Estampes


Ravel: Noctuelles from Miroirs

Schubert Impromptu Op.90 No.3

Bach Partita No. 1 BWV 825 -  Gigue

Brahms Rhapsody Op.79 No.2
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Mendelssohn Prelude in e minor WoO. 13
Sibelius - Romance Op. 24, No. 9
Liszt - Consolation No. 3 in D-flat
Chopin - Prelude Op. 28, No.15
Debussy - Claire de Lune
(What can I say?  I love D-flat!)
