I hate the piece, but you play it well
The pace is fine and the dynamics and balance are good. There seems to be a certain hesitancy in you playing at times, though. Nerves? Whatever the cause, it does interrupt the flow.
How's this one then? There's more mistakes at the beginning, but I don't know which one you think has better flow to it.
I mean... After all... You should know, because you're a professional pianist.
I downloaded the 2nd recording and haven't listened to the 1st one yet. You're on the way and making progress. You shape the opening theme well and IMO, it's the hardest to articulate at a high level in order to get that flavor. To be really picky - The pulse - You play the A theme faster than the B theme. Aim for a more consistent pulse. 4:20 to the end - What have you done? I'm so used to listening to Yundi Li playing this passage and other pianists don't come close to what he does. Anyway, if that's how you want to interpret it, then so be it.
