need online practice support
on: December 03, 2012, 11:41:19 PM
I'm trying to find a forum or website for piano practicing support, just as they exist for exercising or other types of goals. Just a place for people to post a goal of daily hours of practicing or any other practice related goals and then post daily as to how we are accomplishing them (or not)
Does anyone know of such a forum or would be interested in creating one?
My goal is to practice 4 hours a day for 30 days to create a habit (I'm starting on a project of recording and performing a specific 60 minute solo piano program and need to discipline myself to be successful at it)
I think the accountability of a practice support group would be helpful.

I don't know of such a website or group, but perhaps this very thread could serve as a support. You can log on daily and make a brief posting about your practice session: how much time spent, what you worked on.  I sort of do this on a different forum, when I started learning music in September, I was completely new, I did not even know how to read sheet music. So I've just been sharing my progress with my friends there.
