Mozart's Divertimento K. 136,Mvt I
on: December 13, 2012, 04:57:18 AM
Where does exposition development and recapitulation occur in the first movement?

Here is the score: https://petrucci.mus.auth.gr/imglnks/usimg/b/b6/IMSLP64150-PMLP14900-Mozart_Werke_Breitkopf_Serie_14_KV136.pdf

I also have to label chord change and notations of modulations and secondary dominants.

Can someone help me analyze them with roman numerals?  I under very simple ones like I I in the first two measure but when it comes to the third different.

Much help appreciated!

No no, this preparatory work that doesn't count for anything.  Ill be getting a final and this is to test what i learned from practicing with a piece of my choice.  I know how do chord analysis but modulation is something I don't know how to do correctly.

OK, cool.

My suggestion is that you do your best and post what that looks like. That will give people a better stating point to explain things, focusing on what you get wrong and why. It will also be more likely to get it to sink in for you, rather than just seeing the correct answer.

Alright, I'll do it and ask people to see if I did good. Ill scan pictures tomorrow.

But does a modulation occur or key signature change occur always at the exposition? what about development and the other one?

You're stretching my memory, but I think the exposition is normally in the primary key, modulation occurs in the development, and the recap is in the primary key unless the form dicates that it be in a particular related key.
