You will keep raising your standards, and pretty soon you'll want to learn Chopin's entire oeuvre for piano.
It may be because I have not had a Bach piece in a while, but I am loving Chopin a lot lately. I don't think I want to learn all his pieces though. This one is just captivating though.
Why not start now? You have a teacher who can teach you how to play it.
I think he will look at me like this:

while thinking this:

If I asked him. Because I have only been playing the piano for almost 5 months orso.
Because his teacher no doubt knows better.
@ ranniks
It is a great piece - it may be in your repertoire sooner than you think, though some of your other dream pieces will make it first!
Hopefully J. It does seem a really high leveled piece though. And I won't ask my teacher to teach me yet. I've decided to let him pick the pieces until I can at least play the raindrops. Then hintly suggest what I wish to learn.
I think that's quite a goal, a great waltz and wonderful piece to have in your repertoire. You might get through K545 first, you've wanted to do that ? A few Chopin Preludes, to include the Raindrops ( great little piece to get Chopin into your hands)you have listed and then a lower level Chopin Waltz or two before you tackle this one. That's level 8+, there are level 5 and 6 Waltz' from chopin as well.
Just thinking out loud here, but you must be a torturous student if you make your teacher play everything you are going to learn !!
Yes David, the K545 definitely! The Raindrops should be years away though? The piece sounds technically difficult.
Oh lol. About that. My teacher told me: a student is like a tiger. If you keep it hungry, you will get eaten. I don't always make him play sheets, but just sometimes. Like this sunday (cancelled this wensday). He better be ready for the Rachmaninof prelude in g minor and this piece, haha^^.
Love all my fellow pianists btw! May you all play heavenly!
