Terrific CD collection!!!
on: October 21, 2004, 11:56:53 AM
Hello,

found this forum a couple of month ago, visiting every day.
I studied at Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich at the age of 16, 2 years later I broke my finger during sports lesson at school. Therefore I had to quit :( - had a break for about 6 years, playing now for 3 years and better than ever before! :) Never give up!

The newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung released today a new CD collection with the 14 most famous pianists. I'm trying to translate the article for those who are interested :)

I'm not trying to do advertisement, cause I always dreamt about such a collection, and I ordered it today.

- 14 great pianists, recorded on 20 CDs

- legendary recordings in best quality, overworked from the best German music technician

- Prof. Joachim Kaiser comments each artist, including musical examples

- 1500 min. pleasure of classical music

- each booklet contains the artist's biography and comments on the works

I think there only exists a german version :(

https://sz-klassik.sueddeutsche.de/sz-klassik/angebote

the artists are linked on the right frame, you can browse their biography and the works they play on this collection.

beneath the artists picture you'll find a link "List der Werke" = Index of the recordings

Sorry for my bad english :)

regards,

Karl

Do you know if they have international deliveries or not? If they have, I'm gonna buy it for sure ;D

that isn't too expensive at all for 20 cd's. Normally cd's cost 20 a pop 123 is cheap compared to 400.
