This is my first ever post on Pianostreet. I would like some constructive criticism of my recording of the Chopin Nocturne. Thanks. PS I am aware of a few extra notes!!

I think it is a good work, I think that your interpretation reveals that you play this piece carefully and with musical sense.

Of course there are some mistakes and some points to make it better, but I haven't enough knowledge to give you an advice.

Thanks for sharing your interpretation.

Okay... first of all, check the accidentals in the left hand chords. Note-wise your RH is accurate, but some chords (generally the 3rd of every quaver group have some inconsistencies.

Make sure the LH chords are very light when you have a single line melody in the RH. Sometimes they just get a bit clunky. Are you smoothly joining the 2nd and 3rd quaver chords together? I think they are supposed to be slurred.

Practice those little cadenza like moment here the RH gets really fancy and technical. Do it slow at first and loosen the hand.

The thing I am however pleased at though, is that although this is slower than it should be - you didn't try to rush the piece (which a lot of people in the past have).

Here's a recording I did a while back of this piece. Hope it gives you a little inspiration. What I'd do though is follow your score and listen out for chords that sound different to how you play them. Helps you identify the wrong notes a little easier.

^fixed your link.

Thanks... I've never had that happen before. I also went to fix it only because I wanted to know what was causing the problem.
