Grieg - Holberg Suite - Prelude
on: January 22, 2013, 09:26:34 PM
After a long period without touching a piano, I finally decided to start practising again. I wanted to play something fun, so I started with this piece! I'm still not quite pleased with it, but I think I'm making progress at the very least.
It's now almost 6 years since I started playing the piano. My biggest problem right now is structuring my learning so that it feels like I'm moving forward. I would like to be at a level where I could play, say, Chopin Etudes, but they still seem miles away...
Any comments regarding the piece itself, or any suggestions for what to do next would be greatly appreciated as always!

Hi, it has been nice to find here a no so common piece - itīs a transcription, right?-, which you has played with skillfullness and been successful in transmitting its joyful. I long have wished to hear the complete suite in the piano, it's very beautiful, therefore it would be a project worth to complete it.
I donīt know why the doubts about starting the Chopinīs etudes if that is what you want, since you have the tools for many of them, only be wise in picking one. And I hope you don't take long piano vacations anymore
