About 35 years ago. I have no idea how it is now. At the time there was an office run by a very innovating fellow named richard something, who found gigs around town ranging from mental institutions to high society parties. They had the usual concerto competition and there was also quite a bit of financial aid. (Though it did help that i worked in the office on a financial aid grant.) accademics were alright. Balsam, keene, graffman, and lewenthal were some of the better known teachers. They had a good voice department and opportunities for accompanying.
But like i said, this was 35 years ago and a lot can change...
