Liszt - Les Preludes arr. Stradal for the piano
on: October 26, 2004, 12:09:12 AM
Greetings!

I have finally received this sheetmusic from sheetmusicplus.com:

https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_detail.html?sku=BR.EB-2443&cart=33077236078176866&searchtitle=Sheet%20Music

It is Franz Liszt's Les Preludes for the piano, arranged by Liszt's disciple August Stradal.  I am looking for a recording of it right now.  I have Leslie Howard's recording, which seems to be based on it, but changed in a number of places.  I was hoping to find a recording of the original deal.

Please let me know if you can help me.

Thanks so much,
donjuan

Just to make it clear: Leslie Howard's recording is based on Karl Klauser's arrangement, which Liszt revised before publishing. So if you want a good transcription, pick Liszt's own over Stradal's (which is unnecessarily difficult).
