Scarlatti Sonate K427
on: April 18, 2013, 10:30:11 PM
My first Scarlatti ever. I love the sonates! Just discovering them! Anyone could translate "Presto, quanto sia possible"? At first I thought it meant "as fast as possible" but it seems it's rather "Presto, when possible". Same? When wouldn't it be possible to play presto?

Honestly, I like your interpretation much better than the one with Wang. With your tempo, the melody gets a chance to develop. Piano is not always about playing as fast as possible.
