A Jazz Piano Christmas 2025 – But not at the Kennedy Center

For more than three decades, “A Jazz Piano Christmas” at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. has been a quiet highlight of the holiday season for jazz and piano lovers. No fixed formulas, no “seasonal jazz” clichés — just strong pianistic voices working with familiar material. This year, the live concert is on pause. Here’s what changed, and where pianists can still turn for meaningful jazz piano Christmas listening and playing. Read more

Who would have predicted Chechnyans?

And now I missed resetting this thread and the timing is messed up.  Oh well.  How about... April 2014?  Outside the thread but...  And I'll just copy... Another attack, public event, major city, carried out by a white male.  I'll go with a lone white male this time.  Domestic terrorism.

Nice and vague.  But -- Something like that will probably happen.  April has a lot of them.  Maybe not April 2014, but you know they'll be another event.   And we just had the Sandy Hook stuff.  Schools... universities... sporting events...

Hm.  I see I still have Dolly Parton and Madonna on the death list.  I'll keep those.

Except all I'm doing is tweaking past events.  How about...  North Korea will "accidentally" fire a nuke, but at Japan.  That will get shot down by China, revealing a brand new technology.  And the US will state that technology was stolen from the US.  Environmentalist will go nuts about the nuclear waste dumped in the ocean.  Spring of 2014 we'll have reports of elevated radiation levels on the western coast of the US.  And... Iran will be onboard with North Korea until North Korea actually fires.  Then Iran will claim it really didn't mean that we're misinterpreting them.

I'll call it.  Maybe not in 2013, but in the next few years.  I'll say... Before 2016.   We'll see first person view video from one of the massacre style shootings.  One of those idiots will stream it live.
