Haydn sonata no 23 F major [VIDEO]
on: April 21, 2013, 08:22:16 AM
Hi! This was recorded (live, i had a "lunch cocert" at my local church) 16/4-13. I was super nervous for the first half of the piece (i played it kind of poorly on a recital just a week before, and this was the second time performing it). Comments and constructive criticism is welcome :)

Hi,

I'm a big fan of the Haydn sonatas, i really like them and have played one in D major (37 i think)

Overall, i thought it was really good:) at times you could tell your nerves and there were a few slips, but even when you're not nervous there will be some slips anyways, i don't think it detracted from the performance at all.

Really liked the dynamic range that you used, haydn is full of humorous little passaged and i think you played them quite well in a really good style. I liked the speed, i have heard it played slightly faster but i think your speed was also quite nice

Congrats on a solid performance. Cant wait to hear the next two movements :)
