Franz Liszt - concert of the future (If you could go back in time)
on: April 24, 2013, 06:13:47 PM
Just a day dream I had the other day, was curious to see what other people would do...
...if you could go back in time to the mid-19th Century, and bring with you a concert's worth (2 hrs or so) of modern music for Franz Liszt to perform in front of you, and an audience of the time, what pieces would you bring?
Prokofiev Sonata 6 or 7?
Surely some Rachmaninoff, but which pieces?
Gaspard de la Nuit?
Any concertos?
Something highly modern?
