Unfortunately I have troubles with them in these days. All this piano practicing has given me trouble. My muscles and my tendons ache. Not so that I scream, but I guess I have to rest from piano playing today. Again.

When I first came back to piano about a year ago now I had trouble with my hands feeling stiff and swollen. They were not swollen particularly but they would get stiff. That seems to have subsided now. Years ago when I practiced much more and much more complicated music I don't recall that happening but I was years at the piano getting to that level. Being years away this time, i suddenly thought i could put in 3 hours practice and even though it was less complicated music I was using muscles I have not used in a long time. So be it, I'm happy now !
For a guy, in the past my hands were not so bad looking. Now older (63), taking several kinds of meds from blood pressure to water retention reduction to what ever else, I swear the results all went to my hands. Pretty vein y now, pretty boney now, old age blotches, one cancer growth removed from one and a touch of arthritis setting in , they appear a bit messier than before. Oh well, it's what I have and all things considered, not so bad at that !
