Are you familiar with this composer?  His music is really very good.  I want to learn his "Short-Tempered Clavier".

I've heard some of his music. It's funny, but not something I would want to waste time learning.

I saw him "live" when I was in college.  Everyone was  seated and ready, then the stage lights come on and some guy wearing grubby jeans, with a huge keychain hanging from his belt (to appear as a maintenance man) comes sauntering onto the stage and (if I remember correctly--this was like 20 years ago) he went over to the piano to do some maintenance.  Even after a concert begins, there are always latecomers.  Well, I feet sorry for those people!!  The man made some comment about latecomers and the spotlight shone on those people, all the time that they were trying to find a seat!!  It was a riot!

I saw him at Carnegie Hall about 20 years ago.  The program began when he swung onto the stage from the first balcony on a rope!

Piano Street Magazine:
Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
