It's a shame that Trump is so incompetent, that the news is focusing on him.

Scott Morrison however could be Trumps successor in ineptitude.

Not so much a successor as a contemporary, but otherwise I agree - and then there's the egregious Mr Johnson...

Yeah, well, actually it's effing great some TV show person is in the hot seat in the USA:  his vice-president is closer to some jackass bible-thumper.

I mean, Mike effing Pence is some corn-shucking piece of crap bible-class POS.

I'd rather have effing Trump for another four years than some cornholing piece of garbage like that bible-thumper in office.

At least Trump doesn't give a ess.  Everyone knows:  like in an electrical diagram, just add an inverter or shift some bubbles around and (oh...OK, a "bubble" would be a shortcut in diagrams for inverting a signal from, say, high to low, or on to off).

But some maniac.  Trump is easy:  just break the bar and flip the sign.  At least he's a heathen.

/* ETA More like that a**hole is that "special little guy" in a workplace about whom nobody thinks or talks.  A little indigo child.  Flame-on Oz or Pence are far more dangerous, since they pretend to be literate, despite their heretical, turncoat ways.*/

/*EETA No, I'm not defending that Teabagging piece of trash, just that the enemy one knows is easier to predict and, ultimately, control.  In the US, the true enemy are the anglophiles, with their bizarre sects brought over from some of the islands north of Europe.  The lowest point in the history of the North American colonies was not Cortés, but rather the anglo Colonialists' defeat of New France.*/

//Forgot to be a gentleman

With you always, and always with my best, best regards,

Well, I wouldn't go that far.  i'd say you all managed to survive being on an island, but there are some problems there.

Canada and the US have had some serious problems, what with the English and all.

Yeah.  I'm starting to think some netizens have a combination of pathological impulsiveness and some form of dementia.

But I wouldn't know anything about that.

Salutations, oh, eff it, I'm not signing jack ess anymore.  It could be evidence used against me by my many enemies, but more likely, it's just stupid and boring.

Not that there's anything wrong with it.

11 is a mo&^%&ing PRIME number, mo&^^*@er!

10?  10 is nothing.  10 is the base of a useless logarithmic function.  10 is the number of fingers most women have.  All real men have fewer complete digits, explained by injuries caused by fighting cats of prey, or firing into the jungle while battling communism.

10 is almost the entire basis on which our world revolves around - it is the base for our ability to count, our currency, measuring volume length and time.

You don't like the Decimal system? Tough. You're just pissed because you weren't the 10011100010000th poster.

And I will claim the 100111000100000th post as well. Don't you worry.

Is it?

What about the harmonic series, or pints of ale?

Some avant-garde British composers probably disliked both those as much as you.

Common factor:

Respect for the imperial Crown of the motherland.

Who the bloody hell uses the imperial system of measurement nowadays??? (I mean, apart from the weirdo Americans).

The world has moved on from inches, ounces and pints.

No one, to my knowledge.

The world has moved on from inches, ounces and pints.
It has indeed, a long time ago, and we should be thankful for that; I'm not sure that I ever did figure out how many inches in a quart or ounces in a kilometre but then many years ago when I first attended school in Scotland we were taught metric measurements first (which seemed eminently sensible as they're so much simpler and accord to the Arabic numerical system) before moving on reluctantly to Imperial which always struck me as a complete waste of time. What has arguably hampered the much needed transition from Imperial to metric in UK has been some people's seeming determination to try to "convert" the one to the other, for no useful reason known to man or woman.

Therefore, one has an ambiguous self-loathing directed at the idea of the British, affects continental manners, and abstains from alcohol.

So, avant garde, experimental in nature, and reserved in expression.

These characteristics resemble those expressed by certain composers.

Would that they fully embraced what's implied by a pedantic adherence to decimalization:  namely, a microtonal system.

Which is fantastic:  one could write a whole long set of studies based on that idea.  But one should not, and has not done that.

Why is that, anyway?

Exactly.

And I continue to sip from this Amontillado from the continent.  Finger five extended.  Three decilitres and no more, I should have said!  It is the gentleman's limit.

Your crude beverage offends me!

Cigar ash and crumpled-up horse betting slips.

Just the sort of thing we were hoping to avoid in the wilds.  Shocking, really, in this age.  Such manners.

Well, you could pour it into some ape-fist quantity like a pint glass.

But that would be cheating.

All right, I've had enough of this game.  I also would like some MOAR BEER!!!!!  But I'm going to get it by the pint tomorrow morning, at 0900, at the local bar.

As a Scot, I suppose that I am a sort "British composer" (at least for the time being), though by no means an avant-gardist one. You can keep the ale; I wouldn't touch a drop of it any more than any other kind of beery substance regardless of its country of origin, because I cannot abide any of it. - but I'm no teetotaller.

I've written no microtonal music but, although I've always adhered to the semitonal one, that doesn't make me a fan of the clumsy, awkward and antediluvian "imperial" system of measurements.

No it was not difficult at all.  One might say it wasn't much of an accomplishment at all. One might even say it was the opposite of any of the meritorious qualities of perfection or success, but I wouldn't know about that.

"But I will not tell to you, as you very blatantly said to me, that your arguments are pointless."  I swear it, some of the utterances lately are almost legendary in their quotability.  I'm thinking there's some meme stuff coming up, as in, "all your base are belong to us" and so forth.

Lot of people being way too serious, at least for my tastes, so the solution is, in my view, just outright mockery of whatever.  It's all in good fun.

Plus, I'm too busy winning for all that rehab sh*^!

Best regards and a fine bunch of wishes for the upcoming season, and in fine, I salute all the children of the empire with my very enduring gratitude, and remain your loyal servant,

I have too much pride to know who the hell that is.

Oh, come on.  Amy Winehouse, while surely a troubled person, was a rather traditional singer in popular music.  She had a rare set of pipes, and while her taste was not always the most mature, that can be excused given her age,

Is pop music, even though in a conservative or retro style as balls-out as Mozart?  No, not quite as good, but it's still impressive technically, I find, even though the musical setting is not very sophisticated in AW's case. Which is unfortunate, given that there are certainly ways to elevate the tone within the form.

But, nobody can have done everything, so, it's just the way it is.

Oh, probably her best known recording among the general public is, "Rehab."
My name is Nellie, and I take pride in helping protect the children of my community through active leadership roles in my local church and in the Boy Scouts of America.  Bad word make me sad.

Really??? You're comparing Mozart...

...to THIS?!? People who usually now have no vocal talent whatsoever, relying on auto-tune and lip-synching; who aren't even singing but look hot in a leotard, twerking for the camera???

I thought 'Rehab' was her favourite holiday destination.     ;D

Well, yes I compared disfavorably Amy WInehouse's art specifically to Patricia Petitbon's performance of "Der Hölle Rache."  Can't really argue with that.

About the costumes and the festooneries, I have no opinion.  Some kind of deranged attempt at Gesamtkunstwerk for children, I suppose.

I can only assume Nicki Minaj was trying to dress up like Barbie then, given her outfit.

Seems fitting since she's got very few thoughts running through her head and looks mainly plastic.
