There is no cup and your lack of sporting experience shows, a cup doesn't stop 100% of the pain, if you've ever been seriously hit or seen someone get hit while wearing one during sports you'd know that.

It's body conditioning training which takes many years, they do it with all parts of their body and my example just happens to be an extreme one. Haven't you seen a trained kickboxers ability to take strong strikes to their legs? Your opinion is nullified and invalid.... and of course loses once more.

Because of replacing this gd***SMot*f*** battery on an old synth I've sold and was supposed to have shipped yesterday!

I hate soldering sh**!

But at least if I don't break the m*fhfher I'll have about eight bills to spend on a new guitar.  Or a box of dildos or something.

On the bright side, I do have some fairly decent screwdrivers and an adequate soldering pencil...but this is a lot of work.

Yes, for things made recently, but equipment built from 1986 (as this synth was) and well before, it's very much within the capacity of a savvy tech....or even a rube like me....to fix this.

And these are considered desirable vintage instruments, some of them.

Take a tube amp into a tech and even Gomer Pyle can fix it.

Any boutique amp, speaker, or instrument is 100% restorable, with about $30 USD worth of tools as an investment, and, of course, a modicum of basic knowledge of how to read a schematic or trace one out by looking at the components.

New fangled stuff...nah.

If people want to buy disposable crap, then that's on them.  Plenty of other options out there, with corresponding prices.
