I'm going to say this nicely... you've been on here for barely 2 years, and given your post count, you haven't really helped out a lot in the community. The repeated members of this forum have helped many people out over 10-15 years so I don't think you have the right to try and call us out.

It is one single thread in which we do all our letting-of-steam, and as J_Tour said, Nils would have shut this down years ago if he thought it sullied the reputation of this forum.

No, I've not been in an Atmos-equipped studio, but the idea is that instead of mixing to 5.1 or 7.whatever, it's a format which adapts to the playback equipment the listener/musician/user has at the moment.

I suppose one could say that's a rare win for adaptive technology, on the order of helping rather than harming the final results.

Pretty good interview with a top mastering engineer in one of the recent editions of the recording magazine TapeOp but it's next to my toilet right now and I don't feel like getting up right now.
