I have never liked Richard Clayderman...

It's bad enough we had one musician parading about turning classical music into smushy, purile drivel...

...now we have another.

HOW DARE you besmirch the great name of Billy Connolly like that...

With Billy Connolly, people laugh BECAUSE of him...

As for the other guy - they just laugh at him.

Oh come on - they're not even remotely close in resemblance. Even Ray Charles could tell the difference between them and he's blind.

Biggie Smalls is hard.

I can bet you at least once in his life, he used the pick up line "I may be Biggie smalls, but not all of me is small" at some sleazy bar.

Here, do this.

If you didn't know, Larry Goldings is the comedic mastermind behind the "Hans Groiner" character, but he's also an OK organ player known for some stuff.  I think he still plays some piano, but is far better known as an organist doing jazz things.

Yes, actually - you are. Every day we come up with intelligent replies (well, most of us do), but we've done so for over 11 years now. Surely it can't be that hard... And when I said "Seemingly, so is coming up with an intelligent reply..." it was LACED with sarcasm... couldn't you taste the sarcasm??

I was talking about what i said , was that statement factually incorrect ?

Being correct does not equate to being wrong (or unintelligent ) .

And i yes i saw the sarcasm and knew that u were being sarcastic , it still dosent factually disprove my statement "music hard " .

Do y'all just need to disagree with stuff for the sake of disagreeing with someone, to create a long back-and-forth "debate" (or just completely unreasonable and useless argument) that will drag on forever and result in nothing?

I don't think music is relatively that hard. We have a beautiful system that maps out the pitches on vertical lines that can be very easily understood and translated to the piano (in our case); we have a rhythmic system that allows us to easily divide beats into easily understood sub-divisions (and the chance to play freely if need be) and we have an instrument that is beautiful in its aesthetic showing of the white and black notes, and a perfect way to almost see pitch. We can instantly see where the lowest note is, the highest note and that every note in sequence going up will be a step higher and we don't need to worry about breathing (like the winds do), bowing or craning our neck.

Music isn't that hard - it just takes time and patience.

Fair enough , Though , two things that determine the difficulty of some task is -
1) Time required
2) how difficult it is to grasp in the first place ( for example , understanding fluid dynamics when you introduce uneven terrain and/or other fluids that the observed fluid is currently in , or calculus 3)

Music checks out the first one , its not conceptually difficult tho

Maybe, but time is involved in EVERYTHING. Every single project, hobby, profession and even our leisure activities take time to get better at.

You even said yourself that technically piano is not conceptually difficult.

Winning this damned thread is difficult.

It could take a lifetime.

Perhaps I should begin to compose only in Latin.  A language which takes typically a half-lifetime to master, in fluent composition and receptio.

Or perhaps take up music on yet another instrument, or try doing anything.

To speak of interminable endings.

Yes, that was one of Hans Groiner's worst.

But check out how hanger-on-ing this retard is droning on bout some fools at the fingerboard and their tunings.

If ever one wished to kill somebody by means inexplicable this would be part of the punishment.

What a retarded fool was the narrator in the audio.  It is shocking to me how low standards have become that one accepts this as a "human" voice.

It is unacceptable.

It almost sounds AI generated. That's the problem, isn't it? Now people don't even put in the effort to make their own videos. They get a single picture - get the video editor to sway it back and forth on a 2 to -2 degree slow shake and get AI to generate the text and voice.

Just imagine - the world is going to get even more full of this sh*t very soon.

Gringo!   8)

That's a 6B Koh-i-Noor out of a Staedtler-Mars Technico 780... the old standard.  I think most of my lead holders are the 780, but I do have a bunch of cheap Koh-i-Noors and even some not-so-good ones for just beating up on about town.  780s mostly...

I think a good compromise lead in 2mm is either the Mitsubishi in 2B (it's deceptive....the Mistubishi leads are softer and darker than the Koh-i-Noor or Staedtlers...it depends....the Mistubishi leads are much more expensive, and they do have a pronounced darkness to them....they are nice, though, and Mitsubishi makes some ultra cheap lead holders that are OK for just using some colored/wax "leads" in them, for fun's sake).

A 4B in either variety is a good compromise....won't dull too fast.  But, one must have an assortment of leads and holders to use at a glance.

I like the 6B for just scratching around at my desk....it's very smudgey, of course, but it can be sharpened to a degree if one wishes.

Son of pregnant dog, sh*t.  Well....so maybe I was having a senior moment.  I'm going to need you to climb down out of my ass, you pinche huevón.

No, but I heard a purse made of a kangaroo's scrotum is an excellent and thoughtful gift most welcome by any blushing maiden.

It is indeed true.

Also, Julianne Moore is gross.  No, wait.  That was Nicole Kidman.

Well, still.  Both of them are still not good specimens.

I did get VD checked off my list, though.  You'll all be happy to know.

No, that is for real, as in one way I see if I took the "vitamin" D3 each day....only supplement I allow myself.

Because vitamin D hepatotoxicity is a thing, although to absurd measures one is very unlikely to encounter in human life.  And I've been known to drink on whenever I feel like it.  Also, they're not free, so I don't much like having more than is needed.

I'm not ashamed... I'm Scottish, not English.

You see as most people (seemingly) don't know, Scotland and England are 2 different countries. It's like calling an Italian person Swiss - it irritates the sh*t out of them.

No it doesn't.

The Swiss, for example, are European and the Welsh and all the other people on the islands are English.

It makes perfect sense!
My name is Nellie, and I take pride in helping protect the children of my community through active leadership roles in my local church and in the Boy Scouts of America.  Bad word make me sad.
