Martin,
My goodness!
Your control of the hammer is spectacular. Your range of colour and control of note length is extremely impressive. Your comfort with the speed and the independence of individual voices is also wonderful to behold.
Stylistically aware yet fresh and always in-the-moment.
I'm interested in what your thoughts are regarding what you would like to improve were you to record it again.
I thought the left hand could be even more supportive, or even dominant, at times. But I think this could just be a personal choice-it certainly doesn't sound as though your left hand is weak.
Bravo! I loved your Chopin 10/8 as well on soundcloud-really fantastic performance!

Thanks for the kind words. Learned the piece 3.5 years ago, performed it once and...then decided to put it in a concert program coming up. From the recording, it's rather clear where the music is going, and it has direction, but the next step is to be still more playful with the material - and honestly, the being 100% sure that the fingers are always alert for every spontaneous idea...that takes some practicing. Oh, and I agree the left hand could be given more space smoetimes, thansk for pointing it out! And thanks for commenting and listening!

It was my pleasure! Sounds like your teacher(s) have taught you how to teach yourself, which is what it's all about. I'm curious if you've ever played much of the French Baroque?
